Nightlight has been operating for the past 18 years and is a registered not for profit charity. In this time we have served many homeless people sleeping in parks, abandoned buildings and in their cars.
Homelessness is getting worse and it is not because of drugs and alcohol. It is because of relationship break down, job loss and rental prices. All the crisis accommodation centres are full 7 days a week now with no room.
So Nightlight has always gone the extra mile for our fellow Aussies in their time of need. This is one of those times we need to !!!
Nightlight is looking for 3000 People to donate $2 Per Week, which is fully tax deductible to help out those who are most vulnerable in our own back yard.
Nightlight is wanting to provide a male and a female short term temporary accommodation that will enable those who are sleeping rough to have immediate access to a clean safe bed. There would be a live in care taker on site, Councillors on hand daily as well as a mobile Doctor service.
It is no longer ok for Aussies not to have the basics we expect for ourselves.
