Dearest Nightlight,

I am so beyond grateful for the blessings you have bestowed on my little family. I started my pregnancy in turmoil, having my rental be sold without any notice and ending up couch surfing through my morning sickness.

We tried on countless occasions to find rentals but nobody would have us, I had honestly given up. I felt horrible, like a failure of a mother before my little girl had even been born, but then we finally got a light at the end of the tunnel. A home. And I was so so happy but, again, so so defeated because I had nothing to sleep on - nothing to cook with - nothing to eat on - nothing for my little girl to sleep in.

I felt like a failure once again, like nothing I did was good enough no matter how hard I tried. But then you happened, Nightlight, and honestly you saved my life - saved my family’s life.

I am in tears writing this because I cannot believe how kind and beautiful some people can be - you gave my family an entire furnished house. A beautiful human gifted us an entire nursery set through you and I still cannot fathom how we deserved such luck and kindness.

Koala has been amazing, gifting us an entire bed and mattress set - along with bedside tables and a doona - and honestly my pregnant back has never felt so amazing. I want to say a massive thank you to Koala for partnering with Nightlight to help people like me; you are changing lives.

And, of course, I want to say a massive thank you to Nightlight and the generous community who is continuing to come together to donate much needed items for those in need. You have changed my life, given me something to believe in when I was ready to give up entirely, and filled me with hope for humanity each and every day.

Nothing I can possibly say or write will ever capture my gratitude in all its entirety but thank you thank you thank you.
